Abstract
【Objective】 To observe the efficacy and safety of dexamethasone of ursodeoxycholic acid for treatment of cholestatic hepatitis.【Methods】 Thirty-six cases of cholestatic hepatitis were divided into treatment group and control group which were given the same basic treatment, such as protecting liver and improving microcirculation. On this basis,18 patients in the treatment group had dexamethasone injection and ursodeoxycholic acid treatment,18 patients in the control group had a single dexamethasone injection treatment, and treatment lasted for 4 weeks.Improvement of clinical symptoms and signs and recovery of blood biochemical indicators were observed and compared between the two groups.【Results】 The mean time of improvement of symptoms and signs in treatment group was(22 ± 3.5) d,that in the control group was(29.5±4.3) d(P 0.05).In the biochemical indexes, total bilirubin, alkaline phosphatase,GGT significantly decreased compared to those in the control group(P 0.05).International normalized ratio and prothrombin activity between the two groups were of no significant difference. No obvious side effect was observed.【Conclusion】 Dexamethasone combined ursodeoxycholic acid may be effective for the treatment of cholestatic hepatitis.
