Central Government Control of the Local Governments and the Influence in the Song Dynasty

Zhao Song dynasty,which established under the end shadow of Tang and Wudai dynasty,was a very centralized state power.The Song dynasty controled the local government's finance,administration of justice and military affairs through controling the local officals.In the Song dynasty local officials' promotion and degradation,even their lives,were decided by the central government.Absolutism centralization of authority was greatly strengthened.Under this system of organization,local officials complied with the central government.And this brought the malpractice which local officals'main aim was to meet the central's demands.
