Abstract

Objective to investigate the clinical significance and diagnostic value of detecting different serum tumor makers:CA125、CA724、CA199、CEA、AFP in ovarian tumor. Methods Using eletrochemiluminescence method detecting and comparing five groups serum tumor makers:epithelial cancer of ovary group(n=45),malignant germ cell tumor of ovary group(n=21),ovarian benign tumor group(epithelial tumor and germ cell tumor,n= 56),chocolate cyst of ovary group(n=76),ovarian and tubal abscess group(n=23),borderline(low malignant potential) epithelial tumor of ovary group(n=15).Results (1) The serum levels of five tumor markers in patients with ovarian cancer were higher than in benign ovarian tumors(P0.01),The serum CA125 levels were statistically significant in benign ovarian tumors and borderline tumors(P0.05),The serum levels of the remaining four kinds of tumor markers were no significant differen in benign ovarian tumors and borderline ovarian tumor(P 0.05).(2) when comparing CA724 and CA125 only,CA724 has higher specificity in diagnosing ovarian cancer, while CA125 has higher sensitivity.in malignant epithelial ovarian tumors,The serum CA125 levels increased significantly when the positive in the ascites, and were statistical significance negative in ascites(P0.05).(3)The levels of CA199 increased in epithelial mucinous cystadenocarcinoma, were significant difference with serous cystadenocarcinoma(P0.05);The levels of AFP increased in malignant ovarian germ cell tumors, were significant difference in epithelial malignant tumors(P0.05).Conclusion The total five serum tumor makers have great clinical significance in diagnosing and evaluating the character of ovarian and tubal masses.
