Analysis on the application effect of mifepristone combined with complete curettage of uterine cavity in abortion during the first trimester of pregnancy

Objective:To explore the reliability and security of mifepristone combined with complete curettage of uterine cavity for treatment of abortion during the first trimester of pregnancy.Methods:Three hundred and eighty patients who were diagnosed as pregnancy and demanded to conduct complete curettage of uterine cavity during the first trimester of pregnancy to terminate pregnancy in outpatient department of the hospital were selected as study objects,then they were randomly divided into observation group and control group.After preoperative examination was finished,if the results had no abnormality,the patients in control group were only treated with complete curettage of uterine cavity,the patients in observation group were treated with complete curettage of uterine cavity after oral administration of mifepristone before operation;the operation times,bleeding situations,successful rates of complete curettage of uterine cavity,and incidence rates of complications in the two groups were observed.Results:The amount of bleeding in observation group was statistically significantly less than that in control group(P0.01),the operation time and postoperative vaginal bleeding time in observation group were statistically significantly shorter than those in control group(P0.01);the complete abortion rate in observation group was 98.42%,which was statistically significantly higher than that in control group(88.42%)(P0.01),the incidence rate of induced abortion syndrome in observation group was 2.63%,which was statistically significantly lower than that in control group(14.74%)(P0.01).Conclusion:Mifepristone combined with complete curettage of uterine cavity is safe and reliable for treatment of abortion,which significantly shortens the operation time and bleeding time,reduces the amount of bleeding,the incidence rates of complications,and effectively improves the successful rate of abortion,the method is worthy to be popularized in outpatient treatment in the future.
