THE CLINICAL STUDY OF JOINT MOBILIZATION COMBINED WITH SODIUM HYALURONATE IN THE TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH PERIARTHRITIS OF THE SHOULDER

Objective: To study the clinical effect of joint mobilization combined with sodium hyaluronate(SH) injection in the treatment of patients with scapulohumeral periarthritis. Methods: Seventy patients were randomly assigned into two groups. The patients of Combined Treatment group (35 cases) were treated by joint mobilization combined with SH injection, the patients of SH group (35 cases) were treated by SH injection into the glenoid cavity only. Meanwhile, the function assessment mearsuring scale of shoulder joint was used to assess the function such as pain and ADL before and after treatment. Results: The clinical effect and treatment times of Combined Treatment group was better than that of SH group ( P 0.05). Conclusion: Joint mobilization combined with SH injection is an effective therapy for patients with scapulohumeral periarthritis.
