Abstract
Objective To explore the changes of peripheral blood lymphocyte subsets in febrile seizure (FS) and its clinical significance. Methods There were total 99 children in this groups of patients versus controls study,38 cases with simple febrile seizure (SFS),32 cases with complex febrile seizure (CFS),29 cases with acute upper respiratory infections, and 32 healthy children were selected as control group.Flow cytometer(FSM) was used to determine the vein blood lymphocyte subsets of marked cell membrane antigens including CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,CD4+/CD8+,CD16+CD56+ and CD19+,then data were analyzed with analysis of variance(ANVOA) by SPSS 12.0 for windows. Results Le-vels of lymphocyte subsets with CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,CD4+/CD8+,CD16+CD56+,CD19+ in SFS group were(58.62±13.7)%,(24.54±5.39)%,(29.6±11.39)%,(0.91±0.25),(12.24±6.0)%,(18.85±8.22)% respectively,and(55.92±13.43)%,(21.16±5.16)%,(34.24±15.7)%,(0.72±0.26),(11.94±5.87)%,(21.03±7.85)% in CFS group, the group that with the acute upper respiratory infections were(58.23±12.98)%,(26.72±6.09)%,(23.84±10.56)%,(1.47±0.96),(14.37±7.39)%,(17.97±8.14)%,and(60.87±9.59)%,(28.07±6.42)%,(23.62±8.83)%,(1.43±0.85),(11.94±5.87)%,(21.03±7.85)%in control group. Both of FS groups showed lower CD4+,higher CD8+ and lower ratio of CD4+/CD8+ compared with controls, and all had statistics significance(Pa0.05,0.01,0.001).CFS group showed lower CD4+ and ratio of CD4+/CD8+ compared with SFS group, but CD8+ showed higher(P0.05,0.01).Conclusions Patients with FS manifest have lower CD4+,higher CD8+ and lower ratio of CD4+/CD8+,indicating that humoral and cellular immunity mechanism being activated. The immunological function disorder in CFS group is more severe than that in SFS group.
