Abstract

Huyou become a popular word because of Zhao Benshan's opusculum.Huyou a long history,the word meaning roughly divided into five stages of evolution:In Shuowen Lotus meaning;In Tang Dynasty was erratic meaning;In Qing Dynasty is the wobble meaning;In the dialect has sway;daze;compliment meanings;In the common language boastful;compliment meanings.Use of cognitive linguistics theories to interpret these five stages of meaning evolution reason.
