Clinical Study on GuiQi TongBian Granules in Treating Functional Constipation

Abstract

Objective: To observe the effectiveness and safety of GuiQi TongBian granules in treating functional constipation.Method: 60 patients with functional constipation were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.Treatment group were administered with GuiQi TongBian granules and control group with CongRong TongBian oral liquids.The improvements and effects of both groups were observed after two weeks.Result: Total effective rate of treatment group is 93.7%,higher than 85.2% of control group with statistical meaning(P0.05).The improvements of the symptoms and accompanied conditions of treatment group are superior to control group(P0.05).There is no significant difference for the incidence of adverse effects of drugs(P0.05).Conclusion: GuiQi TongBian granules in treating functional constipation are safe and effective.
