Clinical Observation on the Effect of Tongbian Capsule on Constipation

Objective: To observe the effect of Tongbian capsule on constipation.Method: 147 cases were divided into two groups,the control group(69 cases)and treatment group(78 cases).2 granules compound Luhui capsule were given to the control group orally,three times a day,3 granules Tongbian capsule were taken before diet orally,three times a day.Result: There's no significant difference of total effective rate in the control group(94.22%)and treatment group(97.4%),P0.05.The cure rate was 4.34% and 51.3% in two groups respectively,There's no significant difference,P0.05.The side effect,such as abdominal pain and the rebound symptomsrate after stopping the drug was 2.56% and 41.03%;1.28% and 14.36%.Conclusion: Tongbian capsule in treating constipation with less side effect,higher cure rate.
