Abstract
The two processes of chemical-biological flocculation process and chemical flocculation process are compared. The result of a test using these two processes in the treatment of the wastewater from the same city shows that the average removal rates of CODCr, TP and SS of the effluent water with chemical-biological process are 10%, 6% and 6% higher respectively than with chemical flocculation process, while the NH3-N-removing abilities of both of the two processes are relatively small. It can be seen from the analysis of the results of the test that the result of the treatment of municipal wastewater by chemical-biological flocculation process is better than by chemical flocculation process.
