Abstract
It is a kind of accurate, rapid, simple and efficient method by using SSR molecular markers for identification of the seed purity.100 pairs of SSR primers were screened for polymorphic amplification between the parental lines of Solanum melongena L.cv.E-Qiezi No.2.Among those primers,3 pairs of primers,SM17,SM29 and SM51,amplified specific bands different from either of the parents. The 3 pairs of primers were used to analyze the purity of S.melongena L.cv.E-Qiezi No.2.The results showed the seed purity was 97.1%,and was very similar to field observation(Hainan Island identification 96.1%),indicating that using SSR molecular markers for purity identification of eggplant hybrid seed was feasible.
