Estimation and Analysis of the Contribution of Jingxi’s Higher Education to Economic Growth Rate

With the appearance and development of the knowledge-based economy, higher education will become more and more dominant and even decisive to social and economic development. By using Cobb -Douglas production function improved by educational investment, quantitative estimation on the contribution of Jingxi' s higher education to economic growth rate can provide important reference for correctly handling the relationship between higher education development and economic growth. The results show that the contribution of Jingxi' s higher education to economic growth rate is small, therefore we must increase investment in higher education, change the mode of economic growth, make economic growth mainly rely on the improved quality of workers and human capital accumulation.
