"Unwanted Man" and "Zero-Man":A Comparison Study on Characters between Turgenev's and Yu Da-fu's Novels

Abstract

Turgenev's works entered China on the eve of the May 4th Movement,which had a great influence to China's modern writers,including Yu Dafu.The characters,Unwanted Man and Zero-Man,in their novels were quite similar.However,as an artistic model,due to the difference of countries and times,they had many differences in cultural background,living environment,and characteristics.On the basis of commeasurable principles,the paper analyzed its historical origin,characteristic and social history connotation to reveal its influence to people.
