Tourist resources are the most important foundation and precondition for the development of the tourist industry.On the basis of SWOT analysis,the paper analyses the strength,weaknesses,opportunity and threat of tourist exploitation in Pingdingshan City.It advances the measures for exploiting tourist resources in the future: creating a wonderful tourist environment;working out a general plan for tourist development in a short time;organizing tourist resources and forming famous brand effect;perfecting tourist routes and forming a tourist network.It will provide a scientific foundation for the government to make the accurate decision of tourist exploitation,which can be used for reference in the related districts.
