Observation on ALA-PDT Combined with CO_2 Laser in Treatment of Condyloma Acuminatum

Abstract

Objective To compare the efficacy of the Combination therapy(ALA-PDT combined with CO2laser) with only CO2 laser for the treatment of condyloma acuminatum(CA).Methods Forty patients were divided into two groups randomly.The treatment group were treated by ALA-PDT combined with CO2,and the control group were treated by CO2laser only.Then comparing the efficacy of the two groups.Results The cure rate of the teatment group was 90%.And the control group was 55%.The cure rate of the two groups showed statistical significance(P0.05).There was no obvious adverse effect in two groups.Conclusion The combination therapy can raise the cure rate,reduce the recurrence of CA and have less adverse effect.
