Abstract
Objective: To investigate the efficacy and safety of the combination of thermotherapy with 10% povidone iodine and laser in treatment of recurrent condyloma acuminatum. Methods: Sixty patients with recurrent condyloma acuminatum were randomly divided into A and B groups (n=30). Group A, combination of thermotherapy with 10% povidone iodine and laser; Group B, laser treatment alone. Patients who had recurrent condyloma acuminatum with wart body diameter less than 1 cm were assigned into Group C, subjected to photodynamic therapy. Each group was observed for 6 months to determine efficacy. Results: In Group A, 27 patients were cured and 3 recurred. In Group B, 19 patients were cured and 11 recurred.
