Abstract
Objective To find a therapeutic way that can reduce the recurrence of condyloma acuminatum infection. Methods There 60 condyloma acuminatum patients underwent electrocautery and removed all skin lesions were randomly divided into treatment groups and treated with interferon α-2b injections plus external application of povidone iodine cream and control group only treated with single electrocautery. Results Recurrence rate of the treatment group was 13.33%, yet 36.67% in control group, showing significant statistical difference (χ2=7.5766,P0.01); the indexes of immune function in the treatment group before and after the treatment were t=3.0988~ 5.8396 and t=2.7297~5.3724,and control group, showing signficant differences(P0.01) .The results of tolerance evaluation of doctor-patient in the treatment group were, U=1.2061,P=0.2191 and U=1.2643,P=0.1976 in the control group, without significant differences between the tw ogroups(U=1.3186,P=0.1905). Conclusion The combined therapy for treatment of patients with condyloma acuminatum is safe and effective.
