Abstract
Rural people's mediation system is an important part of the organic combination of mediation pattern of the current implementation of the people's mediation,administrative mediation and judicial mediation.Through field research, this paper draws the conclusion that the peasant masses prefer using private mediation mechanism to resolve civil disputes,and analyzes the causes of this phenomenon from the perspective of sociology of law.This article elaborates on the current status of the people's mediation system in rural areas,the current organizational mechanisms,funding mechanisms,the relationship between People's Mediation Committee and the Steering organs,the legal nature of the agreement and other aspects of people's mediation.
