Abstract

【Objective】 To approach a suitable detection method of mycoplasma pneumornia through study of real-time PCR and fast culture. 【Method】 106 children due to respiratory infection were applied real-time PCR and mycoplasma pneumornia cultivation at the same time, compared results and analyzed forte and demerit. 【Results】 Detection rate of mycoplasma pneumornia was 29.3% and 26.4% in cultivation and PCR respectively. All the two results were not completely match.Detection rate of combination was 46.2%. 【Conclusions】 Anyone of two methods has its own merit and default.Combination of PCR and culture may provide diagnostic information on the aetiology of mycoplasma pneumoniae infections.
