Dynamic Empirical Analysis on Total Factor Productivity of Henan Agriculture by Malmquist Index Based on DEA model

Total factor productivity of Henan agriculture from 2000 to 2008 were calculated and analyzed by Malmquist index method based on DEA model to enhance agricultural production efficiency of Henan province.The results showed that the total factor productivity of Henan agriculture showed a constant increasing trend from 2000 to 2008,which was mainly promoted by technical progress and the contribution of technical efficiency was relatively small.There were significant difference of total factor productivity between different cities of Henan province.Improving the technical efficiency of agricultural production and narrowing the gap between different cities are the keys to the promotion of rapid development of Henan Agriculture.
