Clinical Research of Therapy of Invigorating Spleen and Replenishing Qi,Strengthening Kidney and Nourishing Yin Combined with Medicated Diet in Treating Commonly-encountered Middle-late Underbelly Malignant Tumor

Objective:To investigate the effect of therapy of invigorating spleen and replenishing Qi,strengthening kidney and nourishing yin combined with medicated diet in treating commonly-encountered middle-late underbelly malignant tumor,and to observe the influence on lifetime and the quality of life.Methods:One hundred and twenty patients with rectal cancer or cervical cancer were randomly divided into the observation group(n=60) and the control group(n=60),and all of the patients were given irradiation treatment in vitro with 6 megavoltage X-ray beam.Additionally,the observation group was given traditional Chinese medicine with the actions of invigorating spleen and replenishing qi,strengthening kidney and nourishing yin.Meanwhile,the observation group received medicated diet based on the syndrome differentiation.Results:The differences of short-term curative effect,toxic and side effects,survival rate,and body weight between two groups were significant(P 0.01 or P 0.05).Conclusion:Therapy of invigorating spleen and replenishing Qi,strengthening kidney and nourishing yin combined with medicated diet is effective in treating commonly-encountered middle-late underbelly malignant tumor through enhancing the survival rate and the quality of life,and reducing toxic and side effects in irradiation treatment.
