Clinical study of the efficiency of different kind of calcium hydroxide pastes on apexification of the young permanent teeth

Abstract

AIM:To raise the efficiency of young permanentteeth apexification. METHODS:94 young permanent teeth with ap ical periodontitis without previous treatment were divided into three groups atrandom,the apexification was completed with different kind of calcium hydroxidepastes.RESULTS:There was significant difference in effectivene ss of treatment between calcium hydroxide-glycerin paste,calcium hydroxide-iodof orm paste and traditional calcium hydroxide paste.CONCLUSION:C alcium hydroxide-glycerin paste and calcium hydroxide-iodoform paste may be moresuitable than traditional calcium hydroxide paste on the apexification of youngpermanent teeth .
