Strategic Study of Developing Metropolitan Central City of Xuzhou

The metroplitan region of Xuzhou is an important component for urban spatial distribution of both Jiangsu Province and coastal areas of China.As the central city,Xuzhou,to a certain extent,is weak in its comprehensive strengths and in its capacity to develop the region's economy as an organizer.Thus,the strategy for giving prioity to the development of Xuzhou should be taken into account in order to advance the healthy development of the metropolitan region.The goal can be achieved with the support from government,the improvement of city functions,the establishment of spatial setup of the metropolis,the reinforcement of cooperation and coordination,etc.With Xuzhou taking the lead,the development of the whole region can be accelerated.
