Abstract
Farmers are the main force in the construction of the new socialist countryside in the new era.Issues concerning farmers, especially those concerning their education, are of fundamental significance and are closely related to such factors as ideology, politics, economy, culture, and social life. They exert a crucial impact upon the construction of the new countryside. There would be no construction of the new countryside without adequately educated farmers;and there would be no agricultural modernization without the modernization of farmers' mind.Hence,to cultivate well-educated farmers is not only one of the most important tasks to be accomplished, but also the ultimate goal in the construction of the socialist countryside in the new era.
