Abstract

Building socialist new countryside is a historical task in China's modernization process.As the subject in the process,farmers are the decisive factor whose quality may lead to its failure or success.This paper analyzes the status quo of the farmers in Jiangxi and concludes that market economy requires new-type farmers who are well-educated and armed with skills and knowledge of management.In addition,it puts forward some measures to help cultivate such new-type farmers.
