Abstract
Objective:o study the expressions of survivin,nm23-H1 and their significance in non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) and discuss their relationship with pathologic character. Methods: The immunohistochemical SP method was used to detect the expression of survivin and nm23-H1 in 52 cases of NSCLC,20 cases of tissue beside cancer and 15 cases of normal lung tissue. Results: The expressions of survivin in NSCLC were significantly higher than those in the tissue beside cancer(P0.05),which were rare expressed in normal tissue. The expressions of nm23-H1 in NSCLC were significantly higher than those of in the tissue beside cancer(P0.05);The expression of survivin in NSCLC had not relation with sex, age, histological category, and metastasis(P0.05).However,there was significant difference between the positive rate of expression of nm23-H1 with and without metastasis(P0.05).The expressions of survivin and nm23-H1in NSCLC patients were correlated with their TNM stage(P0.05);the expression of survivin and nm23-H1in NSCLC were correlated with histological grade(P0.05).The expression of Survivin had negative correlation with the expression of nm23-H1 in NSCLC.Conclusion: The positive staining of survivin and nm23-H1 is related to carcinogenesis, progression and prognosis of NSCLC.Survivin could serve as early diagnostic marker in NSCLC,and we can judge the malignant level and prognosis basing on detection of both survivin and nm23-H1.
