Abstract
Objective To understand the epidemic characteristics of mycoplasma pneumonia in children in Wuchuan City, so as to improve the understanding of the disease in children. Methods The data of 4 750 cases of pneumonia in children in the hospital were collected and analyzed retrospectively from January, 2008 to December, 2013.Results Among 4750 cases of pneumonia in children, there were 1 490 cases of mycoplasma pneumonia(31.36%), in which, the ratio of mycoplasma infection was the highest(41.29%) in 2013. The autumn was the peak of mycoplasma pneuemonia infection with the infection rate of 43.28%; 0-3 years old children were the highest epidemic crowd with mycoplasma pneumonia(39.02%). Conclusion Mycoplasma pneumonia is increased in the region, and 0-3 years old children are the high epidemic crowd of the disease and autumn is the peak of mycoplasma pneumonia infection.
