Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the feasibility and the value of subfascial endoscopic perforator surgery(SEPS) in treatment of venous ulceration of the lower limb. Methods:The clinical data of 7 patients(8 limbs) with lower extremity chronic venous ulceration who underwent the great saphenous vein stripping surgery and the SEPS from Dec.2008 to Apr.2011 was retrospectively analyzed.Results:Seven(8 limbs) cases of SEPS were successfully performed, the varicose vein clumps disappeared, lower extremity venous stasis were resolved, the pigmentation reduced,no recurrence occurred in the following-up of 1-3 years. Conclusions:SEPS is suitable for treatment of lower extremity chronic venous ulceration with valve insufficiency in perforating vein.It is safe,simple,effective,mini-invasive and of high clinical application value.
