Abstract
Objective TO analyse the current situation of rural doctors and clarify the urgency to further develop their educational degree,and lay the foundation on strategy of academic educational degree in Jilin province.Methods The method of literature review were employed,which means consulting health statistic yearbook of China and the Health Manpower Records and the core journals on academic educational degree of rural doctors of Jilin province.At the same time 709 rural doctors who graduated from the program of Jilin rural health talents were surveyed using self-administered questionnaire.Results The total number of the rural doctors and the average in each village are separately up to 15 238 and 1.70 in 2010.The rural doctors with associate degree and above and practicing(assistant) qualification account for 11.33% and 16.56% in Jilin Province.Conclusion The number of the rural doctors in Jilin Province has basically met the needs of rural health organization,but the academic educational structure still needs to be optimized,and the degree of practice needs to be improved.
