Abstract
Objective:To investigate the clinical curative effect of valsartan combined with extended release nifedipine tablets on the treatment of primary hypertension.Methods:86cases of primary hypertension patients treated in the Clinic of Internal Medicine were randomized into the valsartan combined with extended release nifedipine tablets therapy group(Group A,n=43)and the control group treated with valsartan only(Group B,n=43).4weeks after the treatment, the efficacy and safety of both groups were compared. Results:Blood pressure of patients in both groups had dropped, but group A decreased more significantly with the total effective rate of 95.3%;while the total effective rate of B group was 76.7%.There was of statistical difference between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion:The antihypertensive effect of valsartan combined with extended release nifedipine tablets on treating primary hypertension is superior to that of valsartan alone.
