Abstract
Objective To evaluate the value and safety of percutaneous pleural biopsy in the etiological diagnosis of pleural effusion. Methods A retrospective analysis of the clinical data of 86 patients with pleural effusion for closed pleural biopsy patients. Results Transcutaneous pleural biopsy success rate was 95.3%,the direct etiological diagnosis were 57 cases, the diagnosis rate was 66.3%,the positive rate of tuberculosis pleurisy was 91.3%,the positive rate of malignant pleural effusion was 48.4%,3 cases of pleural reaction,1 case of pneumothorax. Conclusion Transcutaneous pleural biopsy has the advantages of simple operation, convenient, less traumatic, safe, high positive rate, has high value in diagnosis of pleural effusion
