Abstract
Objective To investigate the endogenous mechanism of mRNA expression of bFGF and protein expression of TNF in rats brain following intracerebral hemorrhage and providing theoretic evidence on rehabilitation of neural function. Methods To induce intracerebral hemorrhage by infusion of collagenase Ⅶ into the caudate-putamen. Expression of bFGF and TNF were analyzed by Northern blot, Western blot and optical density scanning. Results mRNA expression of bFGF and protein expression of TNF were peaked in the 3rd day, and decreased little by little in the 7th day detected byopticaldensityscanning. Conclusions Theprotein expression of TNF, a kind of traumatic factor,is increased with corresponding enhancement of expression of bFGF, a kind of protective factor in rats brain following intracerebral hemorrhage. Probably this is one of the endogenous mechanisms for rehabilitation of neural function in the course of intracerebral hemorrhage.
