Compared observation of the therapeutic effect of Terbinafine ointment with that Miconazole ointment in treatment of tinea pedis/manun

Abstract
Objective To compare the therapeutic effect of Terbinafine ointment with that Miconazole ointment in treatment of tinea pedis /manun.Methods 81 patients with tinea pedis /manun were randomly divided into observation group(n=44) and control group(n=37).Observation group was treated with Terbinafine and control group was treated with Miconazole.Assessment of therapeutic effect and fungal culture were carried out in the end of treatment and the week 4 after the end.Results In the end of treatment and the week 4 after the end,clinical cure rate and mycological cure rate in observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion The therapeutic efficacy of Terbinafine ointment in the treatment of tinea pedis /manun is superior to that of Miconazole ointment and its duration of therapy is shorter.
