Abstract
In this study,16 primers selected from 214 random primers were used to amplify the DNA of 17 papaya cultivars/lines.A total of 120 bands were obtained,of which 77 were polymorphic, accounting for 64.17% of the total.According to the RAPD data,a dendrogram obtained with the unweighted pair group method of averages(UPGMA)showed that the genetic distance of the 17 accessions ranged from 0.06 to 0.23,and four clusters were defined at the genetic distance 0.17.
