Abstract

This paper describes the investigation and operation of the non-block-start casting process on billet caster at No.3 Steelmaking Plant of Handan Steel.The process has reduced the preparation time by 10~15min and material consumption,and improved the comprehensive benefits compared with that of conventional billet casters.
