The effects of losartan in antihypertensive and renoprotective therapy

Objective To observe the efffect of angiotensin Ⅱ receptor antagonist(ATRa)losartan in decreasing blood pressure and protecting kidney for the patients who suffered from mild-to-moderate hypertension combined with earlier type 2 diabetic nephropathy.Methods 200 patients matched the requirements were selected and divided into losartan group and Beitaleke combined with spironolactone group,the dose and duration of treatment were adjusted after 5 weeks according to the blood pressure.All the patients were evaluated on the test data by using SPSS18.0 analysis.Results The result of two groups was similar between reducing blood pressure and side effects;there were significant differences of urinary albumin excretion rate(24 hUAER) level and the reduction rate of 24 hUAER between losartan group and Beitaleke combined with spironolactone group(P 0.05),the remaining parameters had no significant difference(P 0.05).Conclusion The effect rate of Losartan in the treatment on mild-to-moderate hypertension similar to Beitaleke combined with spironolactone group with good toleration.Losartan is angiotensin Ⅱ receptor antagonist with high selectivity and good specificity,and can defer the development of early proteinuria of type 2 diabetic nephropathy and can protect kidney function.
