Abstract
Purpose To study the expression and significance of the p504s in hepatocellular carcinoma. Methods A tissue microarray consisting 600 chip, including 134 cases of hepatocellular carcinoma and corresponding adjacent nocarcinoma, 44 cases of normal liver was constructed. EnVision immnohistochemistry method was used to detect the expression of the p504s and its correlation to clinic-pathological parameters was analysed statistically. Results 98.5% spots(591/600) were valid for final date analysis. Positive rate of p504s in normal liver, adjacent noncarcinoma and carcinoma, were 90.2%(37/41)、80%(96/120) and 48.8%(61/129) respectively. There were significant difference between cancer and adjacent noncancer, normal and cancer (P0.05). There were no significant relationship between its expression and maximal diameter, vascular invasion , clinicopathological stages, histological grade and cirrhosis. Conclusions p504s may be play a role in hepatocellular carcinogenesis, and may be potentially an important new marker of hepatocellular carcinoma.
