Abstract
Objective To establish HPLC method to determine the content of ranitidine hydrochloride capsules. Methods The column was packed with octadecylsilane bonded silica gel(4.6 mm×150 mm,5 μm).The mobile phase was consisted of a mixture of phosphate buffer and acetonitrile(pH7.1).Acetonitrile was used for gradient elution at a flow rate of 1.5 ml/min.Detection wavelength was 230 nm.The column temperature was 35℃.Results The calibration curve of ranitidine hydrochloride was linear within the range of 0.053 67~0.178 9 mg/ml(r= 0.999 9).The mean recovery was 99.5%.Conclusion The method is specific with good reproducibility and wide linear range. It can be applied for the quality control of ranitidine hydrochloride capsules.
