Eco-consciousness in Shen Congwen's Fiction

Abstract

Shen Congwen grew up in beautiful west of Hunan with ecological awareness deeply rooted in him.In the face of unbearably aggravating ecological situation in west of Hunan,Shen Congwen paid close attention to ecology there,respected life,and pursued the value of the unity between heaven and man.Bian Cheng,his work,reflects his focus on the harmony between man and nature.Combining the literature and nature,the book discloses that the nature of the eco-crisis is the crisis of civilization,and the crisis of human nature.
