The Epidemic Status of Stomach Cancer in Qidong, 1972～2000

To investigate the epidemic status of stomach cancer in Qidong from 1972 to 2000.Crude incidence rate,age standardized rate and truncated rate of stomach cancer from 1972 to 2000 were analysed. Chi square trend test was used.Incidence rate of stomach cancer was 32.65 per 100000 (42.03 for male and 23.49 for female) in Qidong.There was a reduced tendency for stomach cancer in recent years,being randed from the second to the third.The sex ratio of male to female was 1.79∶1. Incidence rate of the stomach cancer was in increasing with age.Truncated incidence rate of age 35～64 was 51.33 per 100000(male 71.16,female 32.96).[Conclusion]Incidence of stomach cancer is relatively high in Qidong with higher incidence rates after forties,especially for the male elders.The overall incidence was not changed during these decades.
