Abstract
Purpose]To investigate the incidence trend of bladder cancer in Qidong from 1972 to2000.[Methods]Data from Qidong cancer registration was used to calculate the crude incidence rate,China age-standardized rate, world age-standardized rate, trunted incidence rate and Cumulative rate.[Results]The crude incidence rate of bladder cancer was 2.42 per 100000 with a sex ratio of 3.33:1(male: female), China age-standardized rate was 1.42 per 100000,world age-standardized rate was 2.33 per 100000,truncated incidence rate in 35~64 years old was 74.19 per 100000.Cumulative rate in 0~74 years old was 284.96%.The incidence rate of bladder cancer increased gradually from 1972 to 2000 with a tendency of the age ahead.[Conclusions]The bladder cancer is increasing hazard to Qidong residents.
