Abstract
In this paper,a finite element method(FEM) model of stiffness analysis of a domestic car body is set up.An analysis followed by a test is made of the characteristics of static bending and torsion stiffness of this car body. The static stiffness sensitivity for plate and shell structure is studied with current structural analysis software. And the sensitivity analysis of torsion deflection about the thickness of shell components of car body is carried out with this formula, laying a foundation for optimum design of car body stiffness.
