Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of 3-nitropropionic acid preconditioning on ischemia-reperfusion injury of skeletal muscle in rat limbs. Methods ischemic reperfusion model of the hindlimb was set up ,and 30 rats were randomly divided into three groups.Sham group , ischemia reperfusion control and 3-NPA group .The degree of muscle damage was measured by changes of MDA,CPK,LDH in plasma and the microstructure of gastrocnemius muscle were observed in every group.Result:The degree of plasma MDA,CPK,LDH in control and 3-NPA group were significantly higher than those in sham group.while the degree of plasma MDA, CPK,LDH in 3-NPA group were significantly lower than those in control group, and the microstructure of gastrocnemius muscle in 3-NPA group was significantly improved compared with control group. Conclusion 3-nitropropionic acid preconditioning has a protective effect on the skeletal muscle ischemia reperfusion injury.
