Effects of Electroacupuncture on IL-1β、IL-6 and TNF-a in the Rabbit with Joint Liquid of Knee Osteoarthritis

Abstract

Objective:To observe the effects of Electroacupuncture on IL-1β、IL-6 and TNF—a in the Rabbit with joint liquid of Knee Osteoarthritis. Methods:The New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into the control group(A)、the model group (B)、the Massage group(C) and the Electroacupuncture group(D). The rabbits in group B—group C and group D were made into the models with the Osteoarthritis of knee joint. Then the observation was conducted on the changes of IL-1β、IL-6 and TNF-a in the Knee Joint Liquid of these three groups. Results: After Electroacupuncture was given for 3 weeks, the contents of IL—1βand TNF-a were lowered distinctively. Compared to the control group, the differences were obvious( P0. 05). Conclusions:The Electroacupuncture has the preventive and curative effects on Osteoarthritis by lowering IL-1βand TNF-a in the Knee Joint Liquid.
