Abstract

Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of electroacupuncture plus exercise therapy in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis. Methods: 100 patients with knee osteoarthritis were randomly divided into control group(50 cases) and treatment group(50 cases). The control group was given electroacupuncture alone, and the treatment group was given electroacupuncture plus exercise therapy. Before treatment and after 3 courses of treatment, the motor function of knee joints in two groups were evaluated according to Lysholm's knee scoring scale. Results: The knee function scoring criteria score increased markedly in both groups after 3 courses of treatment compared with before(P0.05).It was significantly higher in the treatment group than that in the control group(P0.05).Conclusion: The clinical effectiveness of electroacupuncture plus exercise therapy in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis is more remarkable than that of electroacupuncture alone. It can effectively improve knee function.
