On Reform of Teacher Education at Teachers Colleges under the Background of New Curricula

A new round of basic-education curriculum reform is under way in China,which makes higher demands on teachers' professional qualities.As the primary task of teachers colleges is to train teachers for secondary schools,they should be adapted to the latest development of basic education.There is,however,a gap between the two in terms of teacher-education curricula and training models.In order to go side by side with the basic-education reform and improve the quality of teacher education,teachers colleges should undertake the reform in teacher education by integrating various resources,innovating training models,optimizing curricula,and increasing the cooperation with primary and secondary schools.
