Abstract

Objective To compare the accuracy of transcranial Doppler(TCD),CT angiography(CTA) and digital subtraction angiography(DSA) in detection of middle cerebral artery stenosis. Methods Detection information of 76 arterial stenosis in 44 cases of DSA diagnosed middle cerebral artery stenosis from Cangzhou People's Hospital during Jan.2011 and Apr.2012 was retrospectively analyzedcomparing the diagnosis accuracy of TCD and CTA.Results Three methods had no statistically significant difference(P 0.05) for the diagnosis of M1 segment of middle cerebral artery stenosis;TCD M2 stenosis diagnosis accuracy was significantly lower than that of CTA and DSA(P 0.05);DSA and CTA examination accuracy had no statistically significant difference(P 0.05).Conclusion DSA and CTA are accurate in the diagnosis of cerebral artery stenosis, while TCD has some limitations, and all of the three methods have a certain referential value.
