A comparative detection of TCD and CTA and DSA on cerebral artery stenosis in patients with ischemic cerebrovascular disease

Objective To explore the reliability of trans-craninal Doppler(TCD) and computer tomography angiography(CTA) and digital subtraction angiography(DSA) in the diagnosis of cerebral artery stenosis.Methods Continuously choosing the patients with ischemic cerebra vascular disease analyzed and compared the results of TCD and CTA with DSA.Results 1463 cerebral / carotid arteries were examined by the DSA and analyzed the existence of stenosis or occlusion of the artery 254,the positive rate was17.4%.There are 594 cerebral / carotid arteries accept TCD examination,the existence of stenosis or occlusion of blood vessels has 54 checks in line with the DSA,the positive rate was 9.1%.There were 374 arteries accepting CTA and the existence of stenosis or occlusion has 62 checked in line with the DSA,the positive rate was 16.6%.The detection result of TCD and DSA had not conformance at carotid artery stenos(u=4.754,P0.001).The detection results of CTA and DSA had conformance at carotid artery stenos(u=0.3585,P0.05).Conclusion TCD examination is great significance to the diagnosis of cerebral artery stenosis.And the CTA is mini-trauma,safe,cheap,accuracy and high sensitivity,which could be used in pre-operation diagnosis of carotid artery stenosis,post-operation evaluation,following up and epidemiological investigation.
