On Wang Xian-qian's Educational Thought and Practice

Wang Xian-qian was widely recognized as a leader in the field of education in the modern history of Hunan.His educational thought and practice greatly promoted the educational development of Hunan province during that period.At the time of national crisis becoming serious increasingly,Wang recognized the disadvantages of traditional education from the educational ideas which was about Absorbing Western Technology on the base of Chinese Traditional System and Application of Learning to Deal with Actual Problems.He endeavored to advocate educational reform.For instance,he appealed to opposing Imperial Examination,abolished Bagu and learnt advanced western technology.During the long time of reaserching and teaching,he adopted the educational style of Incorporation of Diversity ,which cultured many Hu-xiang students.
