Abstract

Objective To analyse the efficacy and side effect of aripiprazole in patients with schizophrenia. Methods 60 patients with schizophrenia were divided into aripiprazole group or risperidne group for treatment of 6 weeks. The efficacy and side effect were evaluated with PANSS,CGI and TESS,respectively. Results There were no significant difference in the efficacy between aripiprazole group and risperidne group. The side effects of aripiprazole were milder and fewer than those of risperidone. Conclusion Aripiprazole has an obvious efficacy in ameliorating the symptoms of patients with schizophrenia.
